A few weeks ago, I headed to Durham, North Carolina with my photographer for a weekend in #BullCity. I think both of us instantly fell in love with the city's vibe, art culture, and good eats. If you have 24 - 48 hours to spare and need a quick vacation, you should definitely make your way to Bull City. Here are a few recommendations for things to do and places to eat for a day in Durham.
Good Eats:
If you're looking for a quick bite head to Chronic Tacos. The queso was sooo good! If you follow me on IG, you know I don't play about my queso lol.
Got a sweet tooth? The Parlour has you covered. They offer a variety of sweets from ice cream to vegan chocolate chip cookies!

Things to Do:
If you're into art, 21C Musem Hotel is the place for you! They have an everchanging art museum throughout the entire hotel. The historic Hill Building has been re-imagined to showcase more than 10,500 square feet of exhibition space where curated exhibitions and site-specific installations reflect the global nature of contemporary culture. The galleries are open every day and exhibitions rotate, as does our regular cultural programming. Which means there’s never a bad time to visit 21c and see something new.
Right across the street, you'll find the newly renovated Unscripted Boutique Hotel. Bring your camera because this is the most photogenic hotel, I've ever seen. Even the parking deck is full of mural street art.

Not ready to go home? Head down to the American Tobacco Historic District. The city truly comes alive in the nighttime! Bars, live music, events, and great food are all just a few steps away from each other in Durham's newest entertainment district.
Durham, NC is should definitely be on your list for a quick getaway. Whether you're in town for a day or the weekend there are looks of things to do and see in Bull City!
